Daniel N. RobinDaniel N. Robin, CEO, has more than 20 years financial, executive/board and venture catalyst experience. Specializing in food-friendly biorenewable and biomass technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, sustainable investment/business strategy and presentation, Mr. Robin is adjunct professor of strategy and management at Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS) and Fisher Int'l MBA program in Monterey, CA. Mr. Robin serves on the board of several In3-funded ventures. Consulting clients include WISE Solutions, GREEN Vehicles, Blume Distillation, Pacific Gas & Electric, Diversey Lever, Driscoll's, Hewlett Packard, Chemical Fabrics & Film Association, numerous NGOs, governments and educational institutions. Since completing his formal education in Computer & Information Science (UC Santa Cruz, 1981) and Marketing and International Business (UC Berkeley, 1984), Mr. Robin has received certificates in public speaking, coaching, and NeuroLinguistic Programming. Ryan SarnataroRyan Sarnataro, senior financial analyst, has 25 years experience in key leadership roles with a wide variety of business operations at various stages of development. He has served as director of marketing with Fine Dried Foods International, as operations manager for Maggie's Organic Products, and as president of Sierra Natural Foods, an importer, wholesale distributor and private label marketer of natural products. Adept in all facets of financial modeling and analysis, he brings a no-nonsense approach to planning, deal review, business case presentation as well as solid management, operations and governance experience.  Mr. Sarnataro holds a bachelor's in Psychology, with minor in Economics, from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY.

Matthew Marichiba, senior consultant, is an engineer, strategist, and MBA in sustainable management. Matthew has worked with organizations such as Environmental Defense Fund, the City of Berkeley, and Community Alliance for Family Farmers to create strategic plans, marketing plans, financial models, and industry analyses. He has also worked for the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program certifying green businesses. Matthew’s toolbelt contains a combination of group facilitation, improvisational acting, business coaching, community building, online collaboration expertise, and analytical engineering rigor. Matthew has ten years of experience in digital system design, customer training, marketing, technical writing, and team management. He is also a partner in SustainabilityWorks.  He holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco, and a Bachelors of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. 

Alan Bilinsky, technology analyst, is former director of Marina Small Business Incubator, now called Marina Technology Cluster, in Marina, CA. He has held a variety of business development positions including starting and operating his own businesses, working as a marketing and business development consultant, and evaluating technologies and facilitating technology spin-offs at the University of Michigan. Mr. Bilinsky has started 13 companies for the University of Michigan as part of their Technology Management Office and helped raise approximately $7M in venture capital for Kanisa. He has helped numerous businesses get to commercial proof-of-concept that enabled funding, and has been director of business development in numerous companies. He has arranged licensing and strategic partnership agreements with F500 companies, and has written SBIR, STTR, ATP and other grants.

Iryna Papalamava, financial / investment analyst, has served as a business analyst and researcher for securities and wealth management firms in California and Oregon. She holds her Series 7 General Securities license (2007), and works on business case, investment strategy, and biorenewables venture development projects for In3. Prior positions include Stone&Youngberg LLC in San Francisco, Alsin Capital Management and RBC Dain Rauscher, both in Eugene, Oregon. She is presently at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA, earning a Master of Arts in International Environmental Policy (2009 Candidate). She has a degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance and International Business from Oregon State University, Corvallis.

Karin Leonard photoKarin H. Leonard, director, has a background in science and business coaching to deliver investor screening, presentation development, executive coaching and due diligence services (in the life science and biomaterials) arenas. Ms. Leonard maintains a private practice as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), holds advanced certifications in hypnosis and NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) from Halcyon College and from Laura Grinder&Associates, and a BA and teaching credential in science from Colorado University. Ms. Leonard is a native of Germany, and speaks fluent English, German and French.
